Refund Policy – Gjallarhorn Behavioral Observability Platform

Status: Live Last Updated: April 2026 Jurisdiction: Swiss nDSG, GDPR (for EU customers)

1. Credit-Based Billing Model

Gjallarhorn operates on a prepaid credit system. Customers purchase credits in advance, and credits are deducted per API scan request. Credits do not expire and carry over indefinitely as long as the account remains active.

Minimum credit purchase: USD 10.00 (or equivalent in CHF/EUR at time of purchase).

Credits are consumed at rates defined in the Gjallarhorn pricing schedule at the time of purchase. Current rates are published at gjallarhorn.watch/pricing.

2. Refund Eligibility

2.1 Unused Credits — Eligible for Refund

Credits that have not been consumed are refundable within 30 days of the purchase date, subject to the conditions in Section 3.

"Unused credits" means credits remaining in your account balance at the time the refund request is submitted, excluding any credits consumed since the original purchase.

2.2 Consumed Credits — Non-Refundable

Credits that have been consumed by scan requests are non-refundable. A credit is considered consumed when a scan request is accepted and processed by the Gjallarhorn API, regardless of whether the result was acted upon by the requesting system.

2.3 Refund Window

Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the original credit purchase date. Requests submitted after this window will not be honored except in cases of confirmed platform error (see Section 4).

3. Requesting a Refund

To request a refund for unused credits:

  1. Submit a written request to support@gjallarhorn.watch with the subject line: Refund Request – [your account email]
  2. Include: your account email address, the purchase date, the transaction reference (available in your account dashboard), and the amount requested.
  3. We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and process approved refunds within 14 days of approval.

Refunds are returned to the original payment method used at the time of purchase, where technically feasible. If the original payment method is unavailable, we will arrange an alternative in agreement with you.

4. Platform Errors and Disputed Deductions

If you believe credits were incorrectly deducted due to a platform error, you may raise a billing dispute within 30 days of the deduction date. To dispute a deduction:

We will investigate and respond within 10 business days. If the dispute is upheld, the incorrectly deducted credits will be restored to your account balance, or a monetary refund will be issued at our discretion.

Disputes raised after the 30-day window may not be honored.

5. Account Termination

If you terminate your Gjallarhorn account, any unused credits in your balance are refundable upon written request submitted within 30 days of the termination date. After this period, unused credits are forfeited.

Account termination does not waive any outstanding payment obligations.

6. Exceptions

Gjallarhorn reserves the right to issue refunds outside the terms of this policy at its sole discretion, including for goodwill credits or exceptional circumstances. Such exceptions do not constitute a precedent or waiver of this policy.

7. Governing Law and Disputes

This refund policy is governed by Swiss law, specifically the Swiss Code of Obligations (OR) and applicable consumer protection provisions of the Federal Act against Unfair Competition (UWG).

For disputes arising from this policy, the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Canton of Aargau, Switzerland (Bezirksgericht Aarau), unless mandatory applicable law requires otherwise.

EU customers retain the right to seek recourse through applicable EU consumer protection mechanisms, and Gjallarhorn does not seek to exclude rights that cannot be excluded by contract under applicable law.
